How to make a template project?

Just wondering how to make an existing project to be a template project whenever I created a new one? I don't want to play with inherited forms because VS2005 still has some problems with regards to Visual Inheritance for complex controls.

The idea is that I will initially create a project with ofcourse basic controls in it like menus, statusbar, etc. I want to make the Form as the template whenever I created a new project. Ofcourse I can do this by copying the entire folder and rename it with a new name but this is not the way I want. The behavior should be upon creating a new project, it will automatically point you to the existing project to be the template, etc.

Any idea folks?
