What system error are you getting?

I've just been doing the same thing, getting the "View definition has been changed" error.

Turns out that the DBC had views with fields that didn't exist anymore, the fields had been renamed in an earlier version. Opening the table up and saving it, fixes it. But this was a field that's in every table, so that solution was impractical.

Found GenView program, and used that to write out the view definitions to programs. Edited the programs to change the old name to the new name (using VFP 9 Code References to search and replace.) Then wrote another program to drop the table, and add it back in. That fixed the system error I was getting.
