AFAICS, it has no relation with the database. The problem occurs both on a VFP and SQL database.
Again, it occurs on a DO FORM or .Refresh which leave me suspecting it has something to do with VFP hanlding the graphics. Optionally it could be something wrong in the classes... but I'm not able to detect anything strange.
