Thanks very much for your reply, and sorry for the delay.

Was caught up with some out of track work recently, and hence, could not focus on this problem.

I've tried doing the requery the way you had stated, but it is not working. On updating the child table with the parent's codeid by appending a blank record first and then filling in the parent code, issuing a requery does not display any changes.

In case I exit the form and come back, the codes are displayed OK.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
