Hi Sergey

I've been around in circles to day and can't figure out how to do what you say. I'm no network wallah. From the Network Connections applet there seems to be no way of "setup dummy network". We here have a LAN that is listed but I see no way to do the above.

The File menu only features "New Connection..."

Besides, I can't be at the user's site to ascertain their configuration, on their new stand-alone PC

You issued the following instrucion:

"3. Issue once from the Command prompt NET USE lpt1 \\Computername\PrinterShareName /PERSISTENT:YES"

MY PC, for instance has no such string pertaining to my printer.

I'm like totally confused about all this. Please could you advise.
