I have field mapping set to use txtBase for Character fields. I have several forms that I drag and drop fields from DE that are Character. I have created a read only text box based on txtBase for use with some fields that are updated by application only and not editable on forms. I want to change some of the fields on some forms that are txtBase to txtRdOnly. So far I done this with a program I created to locate the objName in the formName.scx and replace the class and classloc. I also have changed the display library and display class to txtRdOnly for appropriate fields so future drag and drop from DE will use txtRdOnly for these fields. I can now also go to a form remove field and then drag again from DE, but I was wondering if there is an easier way to change class for field on form.
