You're saying genealogical "tree":) Then you can use MStreeview or MSHierarchicalFlexGrid control.
With a treeview you'd need 2 fields at least (parentID,nodeID and 3rd nodeText). You might have additional fields or link to your tables. Check UT magazine June 2001 issue.
PS: Also you could do this with HTML.
