WOW! More than 255 fields in ONE table! No metter what the BackEnd is, are you sure you have normalized data?
Also, are you sure you need ALL 300 (:o)) fields at once?
How to split:
Build two (or more) views in each put Primary key(s) field of the table and relate views by Primary key field(s).
