Almost got me confused here, and - it's not. I've just created a form with tables loaded via old USE and it happened in a private datasession, meaning also that all the tables closed automatically when the form was released - the DataSession was released too. Seems to be that the DE is just a base class to keep DataSession organized and standard (and probably somewhat sped up); you may use it, and you may omit it, depending on taste and superstition :).
