Since you have reproducible errors, did you send a bug report ? The MS bugreporting for vfp works again

(I reported a small bug this month and it was checked/worked upon within a couple of days) and a previous unclear situation involving SQL/sys(3054) I came upon and posted about last month here on the UT (not directed to "all" but to Aleksey Tsingauz) was answered (with a workaround included!) within days as well.
