>So far I know (at least I think..) that LLC means Limited Liability Company and Inc means Incorporated.

>Is that correct? What is the diference betwen them, and what makes people choose between a LLC or an Inc when starting a new enterprise? An LLC (Limited Liability Company), is a Parcería de Responsabilidade Limitada. It would be a smallish company where the law allows them to have limits on their liability (e.g. if they go bankrupt, the creditors cannot go after the owners's personal assets).
An Inc. (Incorporated) is the equivalent of an S.A. (Sociedade Anónima).
