>>>Forget about getting back that money. Unless you've got hours to lose on this.

>>>Put it in the bad experiences department. Never buy again from those guys. Eventually they will get the message.
>>>
>>>Don't sweat that much on tbis. It's not worth it. But letting them know that they lost your business could be a good thing. Some of those guys only understand when people talk about money. They won't probably care if you Tell them how much time you wasted and all the frustrating things tha happened to you. Bet telling them that they'll never get money from you again (and all of those aware of your story) will probably hurt much.

>>Yes, and let them know that you are a software developer and you are sharing your story with develoopers around the world. Seems like so far only one person has had recent success with Norton. The entire world will soon be aware of the poor quality of Norton (Symantec)! :)

>Not sure. I've read several such stories about Symantec over the last few years - I think a few horror pieces can be found here as well - and they still didn't go down.
>
>I think they just never run out of first-time customers, or customers who just get their NAV preinstalled on their machine. So they can be as bad as they want, most of the marked will never know. I didn't say they learned that in Redmond.

The last computers we have bought for home came preloaded with Norton. That may be how they stay in business - sell to manufacturers.
