>This weekend my daughters and I flew out to my (much) younger sister Rachel's wedding in Maine and there was one part of the reception I really liked. It's probably done all the time but I hadn't seen it before. The DJ called for all the married couples to come out onto the dance floor. After a minute or so he said all couples married for less than six hours should leave the dance floor. Rachel and Richie exited to great laughter. Then couples married less than five years, 10 years, and so on. One couple had been married for 40 years and the last couple had been married for 45. Both couples were good dancers and looked far more energetic and youthful than the ages implied by their wedding dates. It was a sweet moment.

This is one of those serendipity things. I'd never heard of this practice before today, but someone mentioned it in a message I read this morning, and now here it is.
