>I'm looking for a "paper" or something that anyone has written about FoxPro's ability to deal with the Year 2000 issue. There's a lot of threads in UT about how to use SET CENTURY and optional use of ROLLOVER, and tricks, techniques for making it all work. So I understand that VFP will handle it, but can anyone point me to something succinct and comprehensive that may already be available? ... something I can hand to a User type the next time they ask, "Is Visual FoxPro Year 2000 compliant?"

In addition to the resource that Bill mentioned, you might also look at some of the reviews for VFP 6.0 and the tools that it has to help identify problem areas in this regard.

In general, I think that the xBase file format has always been Y2K compliant in that in stores the year in its full format (i.e. 1998) as opposed to 2 digits. However, individual applications using this file format may not be, by allowing entry of dates in a short format, and not taking the century issue into account.
