My neighbor back down in Fayetteville bought his own semi a few years ago. He enjoys it. There are 'brokers' available online who coordinate routes for independent drivers. He often needs another driver (he has two trucks last I heard). You may want to consider driving for someone else first to see if it is for you. There is a LOT of expenses involved though - especially maintenance on the vehicle, inspections, and then of course fuel! I always thought the better idea would be to become a broker. My neighbor wanted me to (so he could get all of the good routes) *G*

>That's it really. Just want to get some real life information on what it involves.
