My dad drove an 18 wheeler for UPS and I have a friend who does the city short hauls (in the vans). Not fun at all but the pay and benefits are good. Except for workmans comp - I know of 2 fighting for benefits after being injured on the job. Basically, the typical workday is 12-13 hours because the dropoffs/pickups are always scheduled so that there are too many to do in a shift...
>I always thought it would be kind of fun to be a UPS or FedEx worker. It would be neat to see the flow of packages, plus you would get to at least see a few people every day if you were a driver.
