Have you tried changing zorder? For example, if you have a container and you send it to back I think it refreshes first. Also, it is best not to rely on the refresh order if you can. If one object relies on the value of another object then call the dependent object from the refresh of the other object or move that code into a separate form method entirely and call it from the form refresh. You can lock the form while the refresh is run and then unlock it when it is finished as well.
