Like many comedies, good at the beginning but lose their way aftetr a few series. Usuallyt when there;s no mention of the theme or raison d'etre of the show, in later episodes, is when you know it's done for. e.g Frasier toward the end would hardly feature him at the radio station at all.

Yeah, my grandma, when
she went senile, she could recall every detail of life during the war, where she worked, the washhouse she went to with the clothes, but couldn't remember day-to-day things either.
