I started programming with dBASE II (version 1) and used FoxPro from FoxBase onwards; as soon as the Report Writer appeared, I left behind the @SAY... style forever. I haven´t found yet any reports that I couldn´t print with the Report Writer -- though I admit I have programmed some "dirty tricks" in order to manage that.

I would suggest trying it out; I believe it´s the easiest way to go.
