Look at the hardware properties of the disk itself.
1. Right click on the drive in windows explorer and select properties
2. Click on the Hardware tab
3. Click on the hard drive in the window to select it
4. Click on the properties button
5. A new window will open up - click on the policies tab
6. Remove the checkmark from 'enable write caching on the disk' (deselect it)
7. Click on OK to close the hard drive's popup window.
8. Click on OK to close the local disk (c:) properites window.
