I was listening to NFL Radio this morning. Jerry Rice is one of the hosts of the morning show. He said some of the problem is on Owens shoulder. Rice picked out the play where Sheppard intercepted in particular. He thought that when a receiver sees he is as closely guarded as Owens was on that play, he needs to think about breaking the route off and improvising. So that he could provide a better target for the QB so he could help get something started.
