We had a similar discussion a little while ago but this is interesting. I use ZoneAlarm but just installed Outpost Professional as a test case as it ranks well in comparison tests. Running both under VMWare here is the interesting point - the first time you run any app, including apps that require no internet access at all, like Notepad.exe or Paint.exe, ZoneAlarm's VSMON.EXE wants to connect to ZoneAlarms server!? I find that strange.

Warning: Do not install both ZA and Outpost on a production machine. This can cause instabilities. Use VMWare or a test machine if you want to run both at the same time.
