>You are letting personalities impair your opinion if you really believe Terry Glenn is a getter receiver than Terrell Owens.

>As far as "the story that broke" about T.O. and the assistant coach, it was an angry disagreement between a coach and a player during practice. That probably happens every day on every team in the league. It's only news when one of the participants is having his every move monitored.

>At the moment, I think Glenn is more valuable to Dallas. He seems to be getting open more often, is dropping less passes, and isn't running off at the mouth and behaving like a total jerk on the sidelines.

>On the story from 2 days ago, did you listen to T.O.'s radio show on Friday? He went on and on about the coach. He's obviously frustrated Parcells. No, these guys don't have to love each other, but they need to behave like professionals. I'm sick and tired of T.O.'s antics.

>Take a look at what Donovan McNabb is doing in Philly - while I'm not an Eagle fan, they are looking awesome without T.O. Ask McNabb who is favorite receiver is....he'll answer that it's the guy who gets open.

I mention only in passing that T.O. caught three TDs in today's wipeout of Houston.

I flipped the TV on after getting home from soccer a while ago, wanting to catch the scores of the early games and maybe watch the rest of the 3:00 televised game. Alas, it's a blowout. I won't mention the names of the teams but it's a matchup of AFC preseason favorites who have not exactly rushed out of the gate. The home team is kicking the snot out of the visiting team, 31-0 at the half. The visiting team looks very much like an outfit that has packed it in for the year, and here it is only mid-October.

In the results so far this week I see the Panthers continue their resurgence, the Saints send another signal that they are for real, and the Giants seem to be another team on the rise.

The only game that matters, of course, will be played tomorrow night <g>. It will be a second chance, after the demolition of the Seahawks, for a national audience to decide for themselves if the Bears are for real. I think they are. They remind me of the '85 Bears, particularly on defense. They have All-Pros or near-All-Pros at every position on D and are just plain fun to watch. "Swarming" is the word that comes to mind. Brian Urlacher remains the centerpiece -- #54 jerseys are as prevalent in Chicago as rosary beads in Vatican City -- but is arguably not even the best player on his own team, without losing a step. (Watch Tommie Harris in particular -- third year, potential Defensive Player of the Year). Matt Leinart showed a lot of composure at USC. It will be interesting to see how he handles this kind of pressure.
