Probably not. But if push comes to shove, the Americans and the Brits are Tibetan's best hope.

>Well, at what price? Remember the Korean War. The US is understandably chary at losing any men - Afghanistan and Iraq is enough - with Cina, no matter how many men they lose "there's still plenty more where that came from". OK so the US could nuke 'em; it's not as if China is lacking in that field and, anyway, would the US use such means to protect a small, obscure and diplomatically unimportant realm like Tibet?

>>Fortunately the US can still kick their butts. I hope that doesn't change in my lifetime.

>>>Thanks for that. I feel such impotence in watching something like that. Their treatment of the Tibetans sickens me, but what can one do, against a nation as powerful as that? It's as if they have a free hand to rape the whole world now.

The American Republic will endure, until politicians realize they can bribe the people with their own money.
- Alexis de Tocqueville

No man’s life, liberty, or property is safe while the legislature is in session.
