You write a whole book on CR and you have to ask about licensing (Thread #1162648)? This is why I use Microsoft Reports. CR licensing is a pain to deal with especially if you're trying to use it in an ASP.Net solution. Try to find a hosting provider to host an ASP.Net solution that uses CR. I haven't tried since '03 but I doubt anything’s changed since then.

Thanks for that useless response.

What you aren't aware of is that a few years back, there were rumors that CR was going to set up licensing for PDFs. While they've never done anything, I was able to get a customer rep once to acknowledge that they'd had internal discussions on it. So I wanted to find out if anyone knew anything.

If you want to use Microsoft Reports, by all means, go ahead - I use CR because it has the best overall feature set. It also has 55 percent of the developer market.

I'll just assume from this that you have nothing to contribute to this topic, and therefore like to take pot-shots...so I'll ignore you from now on. When you've made as many contributions to this community as I have, then you can make smart-ass remarks. Until that day comes, learn when to keep your mouth shut.
