Keep in mind that CR licensing seems to change almost daily, so YMMV. As of the last license I checked (CR10), this would be ok, provided the report was not emailed to more than 50 recipients.

According to Business Objects, they scrapped the Report Distribution License concept [related to the 50-count you mentioned] because it was too much hassle to maintain and audit.

So in the scenario I described, B.O. is now fine with the PDFs being sent to more than 50 users. Once a PDF, it's static from their standpoint and they don't really care.

I thought you and Rodman were the CR.Net experts.

Well, if something [licensing] seems to change almost daily as you say, that makes it rather difficult to maintain expert status. <s>

I won't speak for Big Daddy Cool, because he wrote the SSRS and ActiveReports chapters. But for me, that is a throw-away comment.
