>Free Energy is easy to prove, just get a steel plate, set it up so that it perpendicular to floor, then attach a 1Kg magnet to it.
>It will sit there forever defying the Laws of Gravity.
>Where does this continuous flow of (free) enery come from.
1. The object that is hanging through magnetism doesn't "defy the laws of gravity", there is simply another force involved.
2. If the objects don't move, there is no flow of energy.
a. Kinetic energy is energy of movement. There is no movement involved.
b. There is some potential energy (gravitational) (PE = mgh, i.e., mass * gravity * height), but since this doesn't change, there is no
flow of energy. More relevant to our argument, energy doesn't increase or decrease.
c. Other types of potential energy (from the gravitational field) make the situation slightly more complicated. But once again, as long as there is no movement, no energy is being created.
To give another example, planets can move around the Sun almost indefinitely. Here, there is movement involved, and the planet has some kenetic energy (there is also potential energy, due to the gravitation of the Sun). As long as the total energy doesn't increase, you can't talk about "getting energy for free".
Difference in opinions hath cost many millions of lives: for instance, whether flesh be bread, or bread be flesh; whether whistling be a vice or a virtue; whether it be better to kiss a post, or throw it into the fire... (from Gulliver's Travels)
