Thank you Naomi, you are brilliant! I tested it as you suggested and sure enough the buffer mode had been changed to 1. Now all I have to do is find out where the buffer mode was changed. Thanks!

>That's strange. They should be triggered at the time of TABLEUPDATE(). Please verify, that you have the right buffering with a CursorGetProp("buffering") right before update.
