I never defended people who "think nothing of missing promises." They are no more valued by me than by you.oops, no that's not what I meant... you had already given possible reasons why an employer might request an investment from a candidate in the form of an interview, but then not get back to them as promised. I was just saying that IME there are people everywhere who don't see this as a problem at all. Some of these people are relaxed in general, which means you can presumably expect to get away with the same sort of slackness in return, or they exhibit the modern selfish rudeness that increasingly pervades business, in which case the job is going to be politicised and awful.
