The biggest difference is that with Cryptor the tables stay encrypted during access. With vfpencryption, you would unencrypt the entire table before accessing and then encrypt it when finished. This would basically leave our table unencrypted all day long since we have about 150 users accessing the tables all day. Not to mention the headache's involved with trying to determine if the table is encrypted or unencrypted at the time a user queries the table.
