Hi everybody,
I'm wondering if you had Phonics when you had been learning in school. We're having some troubles with it. The idea is that there are pictures and you have to find a word describing the picture that ends or starts with the same sound as the first in a row.
I am having hard time trying to help my son. Sometimes it's hard to understand what word could describe the picture the best and sometimes I had to look into the dictionary to figure out the word, like I just did with the "wreth" (I didn't know this word before).
But one set of pictures we can not really dechiper.
First picture is a picture of a dalmatin (or could it be an indication of a dirt?) taking a bath. We need to find a picture that ends on the same sound (bath?)
The second picture looks like a TV to me, but my son corrected me it's an ice cube.
The next is a wrist.
The following picture is also not clear, perhaps, it's a road or a river.
And the final picture is of a boy with hands on his cheeks and a soap in front of him. Looks ike he is washing his face. But what would be the word?
I wish I can contact the teacher, but I only have the number of his Hebrew teacher...
Anyone with second graders have an idea?
Thanks in advance.
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
