>Hi. We have a Windows 2000 Prof network at our office. I want to make my workstation wireless. Am I going to cause a problem on the network by plugging a wireless router into the RJ45 jack at my desk?

In network admin parlance, you're proposing setting up a "rogue access point". Be SURE to bounce this idea off your admins BEFORE you do it. If you don't lock it down you'll allow hackers to bypass all the corporate firewalls/security etc. that are already in place.

Neil's point is also 100% valid, that a wireless connection typically isn't reliable enough to support a VFP-style application.
