Well, at least you have thorough knowledge of 'native' vfp! I made the jump from FPD/FPW to VFP as member of a team that worked with Visual Maxframe Professional. So I learned VMP before I learned VFP. Some or many may argue that this is a good thing, but I'm less sure about that. The framework hides many so-called complex jobs for the developer. It should simplify things and give structure to projects. That's all fine, but the problem I experienced was that I simply did not well understand many of the ideas of the makers of the framework due to lack of understanding of vfp itself. A solution to a problem cannot always be well understood or appreciated if the problem itself is not clear to the person.

You know vfp's ins and outs and problematic facets. The moment you'll start learning the framework this knowledge will give you the headstart to understand why the makers chose for a certain structure/solution. And that will be a big difference compared to a real beginner. So, don't worry. You'll learn to deal with the framework within a month or so.
