Thanks for such a useful contribution.
As you know, the problem with GENDBC was a sidetrack, an attempt to get an empty version of my db to test against ATL OLE DB Consumer wizard. that's really my primary issue.
It does point to that table as the place where the wizard is having trouble.
and, I do believe the problem is with the wizard. I apparently have no problem using this database as a source for Excel using OLE provider for Visual FoxPro.
Do you think that your suggestions will help with the wizard problem.
