>I am looking at user.config files in .Net. I'm sure they can be read into and used by VFP (probably with a custom conversion). The reason behind this is in case I convert something from VFP to .NET, the user's settings will more or less be consistent. But I don't really want to reinvent the wheel. Has anyone else already looked at this?

You'll have to manually parse these files, but it's pretty easy. If you're using .NET in your Fox app already, you can have .NET manage the config files for you - IOW, you can use the .NET Config APIs to read and write values there.

If you're using all Fox you can the MSXML Parser...
