How do I get out of UT but leave IE7 tab intact?

Yes, that is what I'm doing right now, because I have UT set as my "Home" page.
But should I change to some other "Home" page, that will no longer work.

It seems to me that IE7's implementation of tabs has raised an inconsistemcy between UT's logout capability and later login capability that could be addressed.
