I went ahead and called Microsoft Product Support Services.

Since I had an actual bug number, they didn't charge me for this call.

I was able to talk to someone in the Visual FoxPro support group. He was able to track that bug #. The reason we couldn't find it online is that it is an internal number, not normally released outside of MS.

He was able to confrim that someone in the VFP Development team had begun looking at my problem.

The support person said he would get back to me tomorrow to let me know the status.

I'll let you know what I find out.
