Is your view based on more than one table? If so you should only set fields from one of the tables as key and/or updatable. In my experience, trying to update multiple tables from a single view doesn't work (if you think about it, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense). If you only set key and updatable fields from one table, that table will be updated.
