I think this is not possible. It is a Windows-thing that files-in-use can't be copied. And xxx.exe itself will also not be able to backup xxx.exe. Sorry for the bad news. You'll have to think of another solution. One thought: Is it really necessary to backup xxx.exe each and every time?
