Thanks for the reference. In order to get rid of the first problem (Class is not valid) I got rid of even baseform class and created both forms from pure VFP classes, just to finish with the simple project.
I also found lots of Vfp* files (170) in different places on the c drive. For now I copied the bare minimum of dlls into my project directory and was able to run the exe from Windows Explorer.
In the long run I will have to examine this problem in depth...
BTW, how do I find if the versions match? By the timestamp?
If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
