UPDATE:

I have managed to create slides and paste content into each one correctly using slides.add, slides.select, and then ActiveWindow.View.Paste. This is great. Question - is it correct that PowerPoint will only allow selecting slides and pasting content if the main PowerPoint application is visible? I get an error if Visisble=.f. and it works when Visible=.t. Am I missing something or is this correct?

However, when I try to paste the image on the clipboard using oPPT_Doc.Slides.Paste I get an OLE error saying the clipboard is empty or not a valid type. However, if I go to PowerPoint and press CTRL+V then the image pastes properly without a hitch. How can I paste clipboard contents onto the current slide?
