I have the same question a while ago. It turns out (if I understood it clearly) that if you want to add records to your files, work directly with them, do not use views. I have tried to add records to 3 files using 1 view - doesn't work. So, I have switched to work directly with tables. But what about all this buzz about better buffering and "By-by gather/scatter"? Even working directly with tables your are able to issue tablerevert...
