Unfortunately, if you go to some sites that have links to this story, or further information, you'll find something very disturbing (at least to me).

On a site such as CrooksandLiars, 98% of the comments are by someone absolutely repulsed by the likes of rush. The other 2% identify themselves as card carrying repubs and support rush. In some of these cases they not only support rush by carry out further attacks on Michael Fox.

Within the 98% of those repulsed by rush are a smattering of comments from medical professionals commenting how rush obviously made his comments without doing any research into parkinsons whatsoever.

From reading comments I followed a link to hugh hewitts site. Prominently displayed on the front was an essay also denigrating Fox. The author of this essay also didn't sound too educated.

But the worse part was going to the comments page for this essay. 100% of the comments were in support of the essay's author and rush. In addition there were many further personal attacks on Michael. Comments such as someone stating they heard parkinsons can be caused by drug usage, such as estasy. The author of that comment wondered why there weren't more questions as to the cause of Fox's affliction.

These people dare to call themselves the party of morality! I don't know how you can express that you still must support these people because of the horror's of voting liberal. At a minimum, the system of checks and balances that are supposed to be the cornerstone of our govt need to be restored.
