I dunno about the details because I'm not a Rush listener. I have to work. But....if Fox films a political ad highlighting his handicap, doesn't an opposing opinion have the same right?

What is bothering me is that it seems there is an intolerance to allow anyone to speak againt the views of someone afflicted with a disease.

Of course Limbaugh has a right - any man has a right to make a jackass of himself, a right that Limbaugh exercises frequently.

You hit the nail on the head....'intolerance to allow anyone to speak against the VIEWS of someone afflicted with a disease'. Limbaugh did very little of that - all he tried to do was discredit Fox and his 'motives'. It was only when everyone jumped on him that he backtracked.

I agree - just because someone is disabled or has a handicap - it doesn't mean their positions are protected from scrutiny. When Limbaugh says something even marginally intelligent, I'll show some tolerance. <s>

One of the reasons I'm harsh on Limbaugh is that he positions his talks as 'advanced political ideology'. He is one of the most superficial commentators around.

Some pro athletes and entertainers got together and did a counter-ad - they focused on specifics of what's being proposed in Missouri. While I don't share the opinion of the counter-ad, at least the counter-ad stuck to the issues and didn't question anything dealing with Fox.

All Rush did was pull down his pants and show the world his a**...again. Given his problems with prescription drugs, it's ironic that he'd question whether Fox was on his medication that day. Politically, I'm very far to the right on many issues, and I think Limbaugh is a horrible disgrace to the cause of the right.
