Arnon -

I realize it is not a simple question and that is why in my first post I said "I know there are a multitude of factors involved, and such comparisons must be made carefully, but any experiences would be helpful at this point."

The statement that you can't compare the two is useless to a potential customer that is trying to decide between an Oracle solution and a VFP one.

Let me phrase my question in another way. Assume there is an business problem that you believe a VFP / COM solution would give the lowest cost/performace ratio. Your potential customer doesn't understand COM and wants more specifics on VFP performance with COM objects, specifically compared to Oracle? What would you do?
