>>Hi, Michelle
>>I have the same question a while ago. It turns out (if I understood it clearly) that if you want to add records to your files, work directly with them, do not use views. I have tried to add records to 3 files using 1 view - doesn't work. So, I have switched to work directly with tables. But what about all this buzz about better buffering and "By-by gather/scatter"? Even working directly with tables your are able to issue tablerevert...

I guess it's a little like the bumblebee. Supposedly, the physiology of a bumblebee is such that logically, it cannot fly. Since nobody told the bee, it doesn't know this so it flys anyway.
With me, it's views. I use views exclusively, and since nobody told me that updating more than one table from a view is a problem, I've been doing it without a hitch for as long as I've been using them.
I have a horrible fear though, that now that I know, they are all going to stop working tomorrow. I hold you all responsible if that happens.
Alan
