I use tables directly for parent records. I use parameterized views for child table records. Using a view is only marginally harder than using the table. All you have to do is a Requery as necessary after parent table navigation.

With FoxPro there are always about a dozen ways to accomplish something, it's just a matter of finding a way that makes most sense to you.
