Hi gang,

This has probably been asked and answered before, but I did a quick search here and didn't find anything.

The big thing that I really hate about the new SQL 2005 Management Studio is this: I have a lot of .sql files saved to my hard drive ... such as scripts for StoredProcs, for generating test data, etc. In the old SQL 2000 Query Analyzer, I could open a New Query window, then choose the file to open from the File | Open menu, and it would open the file directly into the New Query window.

But now, in Management Studio, every time I try to open a file, a connection dialog comes up. This is most annoying. Is there a setting somewhere that I need to tweak?

TIA,
~~Bonnie
