1 and 2 need to be true WITHOUT MY CODE - and you setup a printer in windows for each paper tray you wish to use.
1 and 2 have no bearing when using my code EXCEPT that the expr field needs to be empty of specific printer information.

>Just a clarification . . . were you saying that it works well if 1 and 2 are true without your code to populate the EXPR field or it works well if 1 and 2 are true and you use the code you suggested? I don't know that I have a lot of clients setting up their printers this way, but it seems that it's worked well for me in the past (at least I haven't gotten complaints about it) if 2 was true (I never used any code to force a value into the EXPR field before printing.)

>>>Thanks, Tracy. That's a heck of a lot of code, but one thing I note is that it seems to be based on the assumption of asking a user what tray to print to. The client does not want to do that. They have set up different printers and they are associated with different trays and other Windows apps seem to respect this, but VFP is not. They don't want the user having to select a tray each time and I can't blame them. I'm not sure why VFP is not respecting this setup, but it's not.
