Instead of disabling the control, have it's When() return .F. You might also want to change the MousePointer to Arrow so it won't change to the I-Beam while over the control.
>Sorry I probably didn't explain this properly, my combo box is initially disabled and is intended to display a field from the database within the container on my form. As I skip through records I show the contents of the field in the text region of the control by setting the control's value property to the contents of the field. It's within the text region I want to set background and foreground colour properties when the control is diabled..... much like the textbox control. When I set the disabled background/foreground colour properties the control still shows the contents of the field in standard disabled colours being black on dark grey.
